What you will do
As an Imaging Specialist, you will play a key role in supporting researchers in their microscopy projects. As a team member of the Hubrecht Imaging Center you will provide new users  a practical microscope training, technical guidance, and day to day support, to ensure users can confidently and independently operate our imaging systems.



What you bring
A strong background in microscopy, demonstrated through extensive hands-on experience with advanced imaging techniques, is highly valued.

  • Hands-on experience with advanced fluorescence microscopy, preferably confocal microscopy.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Strong problem solving abilities and a customer oriented mindset.
  • A proactive attitude with a strong sense of responsibility.
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a small team.
  • Good command of English, both written and spoken.

About the Hubrecht Institute
The Hubrecht Institute is a research institute focused on molecular and developmental biology. Terms of employment
Depending on education and experience the minimum salary is 3.537 and the maximum salary is 4.673 gross per month for a full-time appointment (scale 8 cao Nederlandse Universiteiten/KNAW). This is exclusive of 8% vacation allowance, 8.3% year-end bonus, travel allowance, internet allowance, home working allowance and pension accrual with ABP.

For example, by working an extra two hours a week, it is possible to increase the number of days off from 29 to 41 days a year (with full-time employment).
